I’m Dr. Jackson, and I believe healing happens when we tend to the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.
I am a Native Texan, though my path to becoming a psychologist took me through California, Illinois, Tennessee, and even Europe. My undergraduate degree was in fine arts, and it was through art that I discovered my first passion: Art Therapy. Once I witnessed the power of creative expression as a vehicle for healing, there was no turning back.
That discovery set me on a lifelong journey, one rooted in a deep belief that we all deserve to live happy, healthy, and fulfilled lives. Every day, I have the privilege of walking alongside people as they make meaningful changes, gain hard-won insights, and move closer to living in their truth. It is work I never take for granted.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me behind a camera, traveling, reading, or spending time with family, friends, and of course, Sir Garvey Ross, CGC.
We are not just thinking beings. We are emotional, spiritual, and physical beings, and each of these dimensions profoundly affects the others. True healing, in my view, requires that we tend to all of them.
Many of the people I work with come in knowing something is wrong, but not always knowing why. They feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. They react in ways they don’t fully understand. They sense that something from their past is quietly shaping their present, relationships, self-worth, the way they move through the world, without being able to name exactly what it is.
Sometimes what brought us here has a clear name: anxiety, depression, grief, trauma. Sometimes it doesn’t, not yet. What I know is that healing doesn’t require a perfect diagnosis. It requires curiosity, courage, and a safe space to begin exploring.
My approach is integrative and collaborative. You are the expert on your own life. I bring the clinical training, the tools, and the unwavering belief that change is possible, no matter how long you’ve been carrying what you’re carrying.
To address these concerns, I draw on an integrative toolkit of evidence-based, brain-based, and creative modalities, including Brainspotting, Art Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Animal-Assisted Therapy with Sir Garvey Ross, CGC.
